SoloDesk's free tools are built so that we can't see your data — not as a policy, but as an architecture.

How the tools work

The invoice generator, rate calculator, and quote estimator are static web pages. All the calculating and document-building happens in your own browser (client-side JavaScript). There is no SoloDesk server processing your inputs, because there is no backend at all.

What we collect

• Your invoice/client/rate inputs: never sent anywhere. They exist only in your browser tab.
• Saved drafts: if you click "Save draft" in the invoice generator, the draft is stored in your browser's own local storage on your device. It is not uploaded. You can clear it any time with the Reset button or by clearing your browser data.
• Your logo: if you add one, it's read locally to render the preview. It is not uploaded.
• Accounts: there are none. No signup, no email required.

Analytics & cookies

The free tools set no tracking cookies. If we ever add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which tools are used, we'll update this page first and keep it cookieless and non-identifying.

The premium toolkit

If you buy the Freelance Business-in-a-Box, checkout and delivery are handled by Gumroad, our payment processor. Your payment details are processed by Gumroad under their own privacy policy and terms — SoloDesk never sees your card information.
